Call For Writers: Submissions Open!

Do you have a story inside you that needs to be told? Here's your opportunity to make that a reality as Celebration Magazine is Open for Submissions!

 

Celebration Magazine is looking for fun, uplifting and exciting stories from our readers and travelers that exemplify that idea of Celebrating Life After 60!  Whether it’s a story of a random act of kindness that happened last week, an incredible vacation you enjoyed years back or an amusing anecdote you drop at parties because it's sure to get a laugh, we want to read it. 

We are currently looking for senior sports related stories for our June/July Issue and travel related stories for August/September Issue, but will also look at stories with other themes. Please submit your articles and images to: dan@celebrationmag.com

Technical Guidelines:

  • Full Page Article Submission Word Count: 700 words minimum, 750 words maximum. Please do not go over or under that word count. 

  • We encourage you to include 2 images related to the article, attached to the same email. Images should be high resolution. If you have questions about images, please let us know when you submit your article, and we will try to help.

  • Article submissions must be editable in Microsoft Word, Google Doc, or just pasted into the body of the email. Scans or photos of documents, as well as handwritten documents, will not be accepted.

 

Article Guidelines:

  • Positive Stories that promote Celebrating Life After 60!

  • Articles must be your work and have not been published previously.

  • No Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) shall be used in writing your article or producing images for your article. 

  • All stories will be read over for content and writing ability. The article must be finished work. Please no ideas for interviews or notes for stories you’d like us to write.  We are looking for writers who can tell their own story.

  • IF your article is accepted, Celebration has the right to edit the article for grammar and typos or send back to the author for edits.  

  • Submitting your story does not guarantee acceptance!

  • No use of hate speech will be accepted.   

  • Celebration can reject an article at any time after acceptance.
