Our mission is to provide life enrichment for all seniors 50 years of age and over through opportunities that promote health, happiness and peace of mind in a safe, social and interactive environment.
Fellowship & Fun
The McKinney Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department invites all seniors to visit the Senior Recreation Center. Many recreational and leisure opportunities are available to individuals ages 50 and over. Come by for a tour, meet the staff and see what is available. Classes, programs and seminars are continuously added, including exercise, dance, games, arts and crafts, computers and wellness. Stop by for a cup of coffee and pick up your monthly calendar.
Annual membership fees are $5 for city residents (based on city water utilities) and $10 for nonresidents. Registering for membership includes filling out a membership application, taking a picture, and obtaining a membership ID card. A $5 Daily Visit Pass is also available for adults ages 50+ who do not need a full membership. Adults 50 years of age and over.
Holiday Jazz Concert & Dinner

Member: $15 per person, Non-member: $20 per person
Enjoya holiday dinner while Texas Jazz Express plays holiday favorites. This event is BYOB, wine or beer only.
National Hot Chocolate Day

Prairie Lights Trip
Tuesday, December 10 4:15-10:30 p.m.
Members: $35/person, Non-member: $45/person
Enjoy Prairie Lights, a holiday light drive-through, from the comfort of a motorcoach. There is an out-of-car experience as well, including pictures with Santa, a walk-through holiday light tunnel and holiday vendors. A boxed dinner is included with the trip price. Open to ages 5 and over.
Perot Museum Trip
Wednesday, January 15 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Members: $25/ person, Non-member: $30/person
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science contains hands-on exhibits to inspire the inner scientist in everyone. Lunch will be at the café in the museum.
