Hello Celebration Magazine family!
I’m Brittani Houghtlen, the new Social Media Director here at Celebration Magazine.
I wanted to take a moment to tell you all a little bit about myself and in turn, I am looking forward to getting to know more about you. I hope that we will soon be chatting on social media together .
So, I'm what they call an “urban country mouse”. That’s part city girl, and part country girl.
I was born and raised on a farm in Ohio near the Cleveland area but moved to New Orleans, when I turned nineteen. I lived there for thirteen years and loved it. However, I recently relocated to the Dallas area when I decided to finally take the plunge and move here with my Fiancé.
So, here's a little bit about me....
My passions include music, coffee, comic books, star gazing, and road trips.
I have been working in the field of social media marketing for several years, helping companies grow their brand. Most of this has been promoting events in the world of Professional Wrestling.
Yes, you read that right, Pro-Wrestling.
For the past seven years, I have worked in Pro-Wrestling as a ring announcer, commentator, and backstage interviewer. I also have a wrestling promotion I run in New Orleans called Elev8 Pro.
This kind of work has helped me become more of an entertainer and public speaker and kept me in a constant obsession with new social media trends and apps.
However, as far as my career/day job goes, I began looking for a place to call home when I moved to Dallas. I was looking for a company where I could help build something substantial and connect to people.
So, I went job hunting. Celebration Magazine was looking for an in-house Social Media Director and when I stumbled across their job listing, I knew that it was the right fit for me. Debra interviewed me and we hit it off from the start. The rest as they say, is history!
As the Social Media Director of Celebration Magazine, it is my job to create the content that you see on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube Some of the information that I will post will be educational, some of it will be fun or cute and some posts will ask for you to interact with me. So, please make sure that you are following our social media pages and don't forget to hit the LIKE button and COMMENT on my posts. I can't wait to engage with you!
